McCLELLAN PARK, Sacramento County — The Aerospace Museum of California has scheduled a Veterans Day Open-Cockpit event at McClellan Park on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The museum says families and aviation enthusiasts will have opportunities to explore selected historic aircraft from inside the cockpit and learn more about service history. The event is intended to honor veterans and introduce visitors to aviation’s past. Museum officials list the venue at 3200 Freedom Park Drive, at the former Air Force base.
The museum has not said that every aircraft will be open or that every activity is included in standard admission. Visitors should check entry prices, event rules and the specific aircraft access arrangements before departure.
What residents and businesses should know
Parents should prepare children to respect barriers and exhibit rules. People with mobility concerns should call the museum about cockpit access, which may involve steps or narrow entryways.
